The Start of Something New...

Dear all,

Sorry it has been such a long time since I have posted here.   Just an update on the shop - my ETSY is currently closed - sorry for any inconvenience.  I am hoping to open again someday, stay tuned.

In the meantime, I have been feeling pretty uncreative of late and I am happy I have a group of people I meet with every week, where we make art.  I am happy to have something to post here today. I have decided to "bring to life" "TIME", the Procreate character that I created recently:

Bringing this Procreate character to "life".

In this digital world, I still love painting. I love how tactile and real it is.  For me, Digitlal art will never take away from something that is created by tiny, brushstokes on canvas with each stroke mindfully placed.  It truly is what makes painting great (but that's just me!).

I really love the concept that this character represents which is time passing and welcoming in new phases of life.

I hope to post the finished painting soon.

Take care,

Sarah

NEW Mini Abstract Landscapes

Brand new in my ETSY today are four landscapes, in an A5 format (mini).

Beautiful to hang together in a group with other abstract paintings, or displayed on a shelf (as below).

I hope these cute paintings will transport you to secret natural worlds you may have visited before!

Nut, Egyptian Goddess of the Sky

 Hello!

It's been awhile since I have posted here but I haven't forgotten!

I recently completed this artwork, entitled "Made of Stars" -

Nut is the Egyptian Mother Goddess of the sky, stars, cosmos, mothers, astronomy, and the universe in the ancient Egyptian religion, she is usually seen  as a star-covered nude woman arching over the Earth (Wikipedia). This artwork depicts Nut as a gigantic benevolent deity, protective of the Earth and the cosmos as though it was her child. Find her here.

This new painting compliments, an older (and larger) work of Nut I completed in 2021 titled "Nut Egyptian Goddess.  Here I wanted to portray her as a giant protective deity, as much "Earthy" as she is a sky being and linking both. Find her here.

Both artworks are very dear to me! I would love to sell them to great people!

"Nut Egyptian Goddess", did not photograph well, so coming soon will be a digital version (Procreate) of the painting that I hope to offer soon.

Stay tuned x

PS. I have listed many abstract works in the shop over the last few days, you can check them out here.

More to come, soon!

New Postcard Sets

Although my plan for these seven new Procreate artworks was specifically for stickers, I have decided to offer them as an A6 postcard set!

Embrace your feminine wild self with these beautiful postcards / notecards. There are seven beautiful whimsical postcards for you to collect, frame, place on an altar or vision/inspiration board, or send to a loved one or friend!

You can get them here, in my ETSY shop.

The Passing of Time

In my new collection of Procreate artworks I explore the concept of time passing and the transition to middle life.  This is something of a phenomenon that I am experiencing as many others have before me. It does not feel as scary as I thought, just a natural evolution which has its own gifts to give.

It feels natural, like my spirit is taking a great sigh of relief! How about you?

Stay tuned for more on this subject in future artworks!

“Time”

“Storyteller”

“Crone Wisdom”

Wishing you all the best in the New Year!
